Service · Ongoing Brand Direction

Like an agency.
The good part.

The Brand Director is an ongoing retainer for founder-led businesses that need a single, trusted creative voice — not just for one project, but for every decision that shapes how the brand shows up in the world.

What It Is

The infrastructure
of a well-run brand.

Most brands don't fail from a single bad decision. They drift — slowly, through a hundred small inconsistencies, each made by a different person without a shared reference point.

The Brand Director prevents drift. One person holds the creative thread across all the decisions that shape how a brand appears, communicates, and grows. Not a consultant you call when something's wrong. Someone who's already in the room.

This is not a sprint. It has no defined end point. It is the operating layer that turns a brand strategy into a consistently lived practice.

Agencies hired per project. No continuity between them.

vs

Strategic memory that compounds over time.

Without

The founder is the only brand guardian. Impossible to scale.

Brand decisions made without the founder's constant presence.

How It Works

01

Phase 1 · Onboarding

Brand Immersion

Duration 4 Weeks
Format Fixed Scope, Fixed Fee
Output Brand Map

Before any ongoing direction can happen, both parties need a complete shared picture of the brand. The Immersion builds that foundation — an intensive four weeks that produces a Brand Map: the document that captures where the brand is, where it's going, and the logic that connects the two.

Brand audit — current state across all touchpoints
Positioning and competitive landscape
Narrative framework and tone of voice
Visual system assessment
Brand Map — the operating document for the retainer

02

Phase 2 · Ongoing

Monthly Retainer

Minimum Term 6 Months
Reviews Quarterly Scope Reviews
Exit Notice 30 Days After Minimum Term

After the Immersion, the retainer begins. This is ongoing brand direction — showing up for every decision that touches how the brand is expressed, communicated, and experienced. Not a fixed deliverable list. A standing creative presence.

Monthly strategic advisory sessions
Review and direction on communications, campaigns, and assets
Design and production coordination
Brand system maintenance and evolution
Quarterly scope reviews — adjusts as the business changes

Entry Paths

Two ways in.

Path A

After a Brand Sprint

A Brand Sprint produces the strategic foundation. The Brand Director builds on it — turning a document into a living, applied practice. The most natural progression for clients who have already gone through the Sprint process.

Path B

Standalone with Immersion

New clients can enter directly. The four-week Brand Immersion (fixed fee) serves as the onboarding — producing the Brand Map that anchors the retainer. The Immersion is the equivalent of a Brand Sprint within this context.

Who It's For

For brands that have
outgrown project thinking.

The Brand Director is for founders who have built something real — and who recognise that the creative work is no longer something they can own alone. It is for businesses where brand consistency is a competitive asset, not a nice-to-have.

It works best when the founder already understands the value of brand thinking — ideally having been through a Sprint or equivalent process — and wants to stop starting from scratch with every agency or freelancer they bring in.

It is not for businesses at the very beginning. The Brand Director follows structure. The Brand Sprint creates it.

2

Maximum clients at any time

The Brand Director model requires genuine investment from both sides. Two clients is the limit — not as a signal of scarcity, but because anything more compromises the depth of attention each brand deserves.
