An AI service for scientists needs a brand that feels precise, not corporate.
Blablador is the Helmholtz Association's LLM inference and evaluation server — a gateway for researchers across Germany's largest scientific organisation to experiment with large language models. Hosted at Forschungszentrum Jülich, it provides access to both open-source models and models developed within the Helmholtz community.
The challenge: give this scientific tool a visual identity that communicates intelligence and precision without feeling cold, corporate, or sci-fi. The name — a German pun on speech and exploration — needed a mark that matched its spirit.
